Parking at Mount Vernon is free but lots may fill up early in the day. 

On Monday, February 20, additional parking is available at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (8710 Mount Vernon Highway, Alexandria) and Mount Vernon High School (8515 Old Mt Vernon Rd., Alexandria). Shuttles will run between these sites and George Washington’s estate.

This encore performance allows us to remember the first public celebration of Washington’s birthday in 1778 at Valley Forge when the Commander-in-Chief’s Guard surprised General Washington with a special musical performance.

Celebrate candidates from across the world as they become U.S. citizens during the Naturalization Ceremony in the Ford Orientation Center’s Smith Theater.
